TEACHING
Amy teaches private lessons and vocal coaching in the Eastern Market neighborhood of Washington, D.C. (two blocks from the Metro). Her specialties include classical singing, musical theater singing, commercial music, classical-to-commercial crossover training, baroque and early music style, and choral techniques.

Amy is the Associate Musical Director of the U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters, the official professional chorus of the U.S. Navy, whom she prepared for collaborations with the Boston Pops, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the President's Own Marine Orchestra, in repertoire ranging from classically-influenced to commercial music. Amy has given vocal workshops and provided vocal instruction for Choral Arts Society of Washington, GenOUT Youth Chorus, Victorian Lyric Opera Company, Washington Improv Theater, schools across the U.S., and church choirs around the Washington, D.C. area. ​​She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in voice, music education, and conducting from the University of Maryland, and holds additional teaching certification from the CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University. Her instructors have included Carmen Balthrop, Gran Wilson, and Elizabeth Daniels.
